Root Canal (Endodontic) Treatment

Root canal treatment is needed if there is a crack or trauma to the tooth or significant decay that involves the nerve or pulp of your tooth.

During endodontic treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Root canal treatment is an effective way to save the tooth and maintain natural esthetics and function! If left untreated, the trauma or decay can cause pain or lead to an abscess.
