Sedation

Our goal is to relax our patients as much as possible while they are in our office. If you are anxious about dental treatment, speak with us about ways to help you relax.

Dr. Shah offers oral sedation medication with nitrous oxide to provide a very stress-free, low-anxiety treatment appointment. This combination makes dental appointments more comfortable for those adults and children that may be anxious about getting dental treatment.

We also offer IV (intravenous) sedation.  This medicine puts patients in a very relaxed and “semi-awake” state.  It kicks in quickly; most patients have to little to no memory of the details of the dental procedure afterwards.  It can a great option for you if you are very anxious about dental treatments.  What’s more, you can often replace multiple dental office visits with just one visit when using IV sedation.
